HARVEY
by Mary Chase
directed by David C. Farmer
AUG. 26 - SEPT. 18, 2011
Elwood P. Dowd is an affable man who claims to have an unseen (and presumably imaginary) friend Harvey — whom Elwood describes as a six-foot, three-and-one-half-inch tall rabbit. Elwood introduces Harvey to everyone he meets. His social-climbing sister, Veta, increasingly finds his eccentric behavior embarrassing. She decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare her daughter Myrtle Mae and their family from future embarrassment.

A DOLL’S HOUSE
a drama by Henrik Ibsen
a new translation by Brad Powell
directed by Brad Powell
JUNE 8 - July 1, 2012
A Doll’s House traces the awakening of Nora Helmer from her previously unexamined life of domestic, wifely comfort. Having been ruled her whole life by either her father or her husband Torvald, Nora finally comes to question the foundation of everything she has believed in once her marriage is put to the test. Having borrowed money from a man of ill-repute named Krogstad, by forging her father’s signature, she was able to pay for a trip to Italy to save her sick husband’s life (he was unaware of the loan, believing that the money came from Nora’s father). Since then, she has had to contrive ways to pay back her loan, growing particularly concerned with money and the ways of a complex world.
THE INSPECTOR GENERAL
A comedy by Nikolai Gogol
directed by Enda O. Breadon
APRIL 6 - 29, 2012
Georgi, an illiterate member of a wandering band of Gypsies led by Yakov escapes from a travelling medicine show after he innocently lets slip that the elixir they're selling is a fraud. Tired and hungry, he wanders into the small town of Brodny and whilst trying to sample the contents of a horse's feed bag, he's arrested as a vagrant and sentenced to hang the next day by a corrupt police chief, desperate to prove his efficiency. The town is run by a corrupt Mayor whose employees and councilors are all his cousins and equally corrupt and incompetent, but they are frightened when they learn that the Inspector General is in their neighborhood, and probably in disguise. They mistake Georgi for the Inspector and ply him with food and drink whilst plotting to have him killed.
SEVEN GUITARS
A drama by August Wilson
directed by Frankie Enos
FEB. 10 - 26, 2012
Blues singer Floyd "Schoolboy" Barton is asked by executives of the record label for which he'd recorded a song a year previous--and now radio hit--to return to Chicago to record more songs. In the time since the recording of the first album, Floyd has squandered the flat fee he received for recording, left his girlfriend (Vera) for another woman, was then left by the other woman, pawned his guitar, and spent ninety days in jail after being arrested while walking home from his mother's funeral. After a year of trials and tribulations, Floyd is ready to right the past year's wrongs and return to Chicago with a new understanding of what's important in his life. Unfortunately his means of righting wrongs are inherently flawed. Awards: 1996 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play. Nominations: 1995 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, 1996 Drama Desk Award for Best Play and 1996 Tony Award for Best Play.

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY
The Futrelle Sisters – Frankie, Twink, Honey Raye and Rhonda Lynn – are in trouble again. This time, the problem is bigger than ever: their beloved hometown, Fayro, Texas, is in danger of disappearing and it’s up to the sisters to save it from extinction. Ever since the Super SmartMart and the rendering plant closed, folks have been leaving Fayro in droves, but Honey Raye, with a major assist from her former nemesis, Geneva Musgrave, has come up with a possible solution.
DEARLY BELOVED
Frankie has almost made herself sick with elaborate preparations for her daughter Tina Jo’s antebellum-inspired wedding, and the rumor mill in their small town of Fayro, Texas, is working overtime. No surprise there, the Futrelle Sisters have never been strangers to gossip. After all, they did survive the scandalous breakup of their almost-famous gospel singing trio, The Sermonettes. But Twink’s desperate attempts to get her boyfriend of fifteen-and-one-half years down the aisle, Frankie’s ongoing conversations with their dead mother, and Honey Raye’s tendency to race to the altar at every opportunity have kept tongues wagging for years.
CHRISTMAS BELLES
It's Christmas time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle Sisters - Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye - are not exactly in a festive mood. A cranky Frankie is weeks overdue with her second set of twins. Twink, recently jilted and bitter about it, is in jail for inadvertently burning down half the town. And hot-flash-suffering Honey Raye is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb’s Christmas Program from spiraling into chaos.
