Technical and Production Volunteer Opportunities
Technical and Production: Learn the tricks and trades of the theatre behind the scenes. See how the magic is made and be someone who makes it happen.
• Stage Manager: You will work under the Production Manager and closely with the director and assistant director. You will manage all that goes on during the run of the show. You will need to be available for all tech rehearsals, the entire run of the show (as well as possible extra shows extensions).
• Set Construction and Painting: Carpentry, electrical, handy work, painting and effects. You will work under the guidance of our technical director. (Some jobs may require prior knowledge or experience.)
• Set Design, Lighting Design, Sound Design and Costume Design: Share your creativity with the theatre enthusiast. You will work closely with the production manager, director and the head of the pertinent department.
• Props Manager/Designer: Researching and sourcing of furniture, fixtures and décor items. Creating new props: and cleaning, repairing and modifying old ones. You will work closely with the technical director, production manager, and the director.
• Light and Sound: Help run the light and/or sound board. Must be available for all tech rehearsals and the entire run of the show including possible extra shows for sponsors, etc. You will work closely with the pertinent designer.
• Backstage crew: Help the stage manager maintain the backstage, run props, set the stage before, during and after the show. You may be asked to help with quick costume changes as well. Must be available for all tech rehearsals and the entire run of the show including any extra shows such as sponsor shows.
• Wardrobe: Resorting costumes, maintenance and restoring, several other wardrobe opportunities on a show by show basis. Will work closely with the resident costume designer.
